Today was my second day at work for Final Support. As you may recall from earlier I switched jobs from Avanade to Final Support. Thus far the new job is going smoothly. I received my laptop which unfortunately did not have all the tools I need to do my work, VS6.0 and DreamWeaver/FrontPage. Yes that’s right ladies and gentlemen, I said VS6.0! Most of the development that I’ll be doing is in VB 6.0 and basic ASP pages. However, there is talk about upgrading some of the code to .NET, 1.1 at most. While my preference is to write code in .NET you have to go with what the market calls for and in this case, its VB6.0.
